We have a Spa Pool, two Hydrotherapy Spas, two Saunas, an Aromatherapy Room, a Salt Inhalation Room, a Steam Room, a Cool Pool, an Ice Cold Plunge Pool, a Monsoon Shower, a Lounger Area and a poolside Coffee Shop.

A private hire includes the use of the facilities listed above, beauty treatments and use of our Treatment Rooms are not included in the hire agreement.

Our facilities are strictly for use by customers aged 16 and above.

No, payment in full will be required at the time of booking.  

For a private hire, you can have up to 100 guests.

Parking at Aqua Springs is free for any customers using the facility. Simply park in the Leisure World car park and enter your registration number into our validation system upon arrival at Aqua Springs.

Colchester City Council (CCC) reserves the right to close or prohibit the use of any facilities, at any time if the facilities are deemed to be unfit for use. Booking will be rescheduled where possible; if not all monies paid in advance of bookings that are cancelled by CCC will be refunded. CCC will not be liable for any other expenditure incurred or loss sustained directly or indirectly by the hirer arising from the cancellation.

We have separate male and female communal changing rooms with showers and toilets.  We also have two accessible changing rooms and an accessible toilet.  All of our lockers take a £1 coin or locker token.

Yes, but they are not complimentary.  We sell small bottles of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner bottles at Aqua Springs reception.  They are priced at £1.50 for one or £2.50 for two.

Yes, this can be arranged on arrival, there is a £5 charge and a £15 returnable deposit per item.

Yes, the Coffee Shop will be open for the duration of your booking.

We have a variety of cold and hot drinks and snacks available, as well as paninis, wraps & sandwiches. 

Jacket potatoes, with a variety of fillings, can be pre-ordered prior to the private hire taking place (minimum of one weeks’ notice).  For more information, please email contact.aquasprings@colchester.gov.uk

For a private hire, Aqua Springs will close 15 minutes after the pools are cleared and features are switched off.

You and your guests can bring water bottles that can be refilled at the water fountain or by a member of staff, however, all other drinks must be purchased from our Coffee Shop in Aqua Springs.

Any cancellations by the customer made more than 14 days prior to the booking, the non-refundable deposit will be retained, cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the booking will be subject to the following:

• 13 days – 7 days notice of cancellation – 50% of the full booking price retained by CCC
• 6 days to 48 hours notice of cancellation – 75% of the full booking price retained by CCC
• Less than 48 hours notice of cancellation – 100% of the full booking price retained by CCC

All cancellations by the customer must be made in writing by email to contact.aquasprings@colchester.gov.uk.

Yes, Afternoon Tea must be booked at least 7 days in advance. This allows our team to carefully prepare your selection and ensure everything is freshly made for your visit.

Our Afternoon Tea includes a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, homemade cakes, sweet treats, and fresh scones served with clotted cream and jam, along with your choice of tea or coffee.

Yes, we are pleased to offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free Afternoon Tea options. Please ensure these requirements are specified at the time of booking so our kitchen team can prepare a suitable selection for you

Yes, we will always do our best to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies. As our Afternoon Teas are prepared in advance, we kindly ask that any requirements are clearly specified when making your booking so we can ensure appropriate alternatives are arranged.

There is no set time limit for Afternoon Tea. We invite you to relax, unwind, and enjoy the experience at your own pace.

Yes, our Afternoon Tea experience is available every day, subject to advance booking.

Yes, guests are welcome to enhance their Afternoon Tea with a selection of wines, available to purchase.

Due to most of these items being perishable, this product is non-refunable.
